Hello bodybuidling enthusiasts,
One of my friend asked me that "sombody told me we cannot shape our mucsles then how can we work parts of a same mucsle like biceps Brachii and Brachialis and Pectoralis Major and minor.and why do celebraty dont eat anything after 7 pm".
I said him that you can't shape the muscle. the shape is pre determined by genetics. you can make it larger or smaller.how do you work different parts of the same muscle: they all get worked out using the same movement. biceps for instance are worked out their entirety from doing any form of curl. apart from that pullups, pull downs and all forms of rows work them well too.why do celebrities not eat after 7pm: because they want to emulate that somalian refugee i saw on discovery channel the other day.
So he again asked me that this means the basic ex for a mucsle groups will most likely work each part of tht mucsle like bench press will work both pec major and minor.
I again replied to him that it will not most likely work all the parts, it will definitely work all the parts.yes, all forms of bench (all angles) work all the parts of the pecs... of course it also works the triceps and shoulders and to an extent the lats which are used as stabilizers for all kinds of pressing.
The mucsle like bench-press will work both pectoralis major and minor◘ No. The pectoral major and pectoral minor are 2 very different muscles. Most people think the pectoral minor is the top part of the pecs. This is wrong. Here is what the pectoral minor looks like, and its function:http://www.rad.washington.edu/academics/academic-sections/msk/muscle-atlas/upper-body/pectoralis-minor/?searchterm=pectoral%20minorThe pectoral minor is a muscle that runs from the clavicle to the ribs. Its function is to shrug the shoulders forward.Imagine you're laying down on a bench. You unrack the bar like you're going to do a bench press. From here, you lift your shoulders up off the bench in a shrug like fashion - your shoulders lift up towards the ceiling while you're holding the bar. This move would work the pec minors. You get a little more ROM and involvement if you do this on a bench thats slightly inclined, but you can experiment with it.As for the pectoral major, yes, the entire thing is 1 muscle. Any bench movement will work it entirely, though incline bench and decline benches still have sports specific purposes.
